The handover process involves the seller (UDC) sending letters to all owners not less than 30 days as per the Sales and Purchase Agreement (SPA), notifying them that the property is complete, and a handover date has been specified individually.
The owner will be contacted one to two weeks prior to the handover date to confirm the appointment. Once the owner arrives at the Oyster he/she will settle any outstanding sale payments and service & utility connection fees, the investor will then be transported by Sales to Tower (4) (main offices of the handover personnel) where they will be introduced to the Handover team.
The handover team will then proceed to show the investor their unit for inspection. Comments and any remaining snagging issues that are raised by the investor during the inspection will be noted and copies will be given to the investor. The investor shall sign a form confirming that he/she has inspected the unit thoroughly.
Please refer to the SPA for further information under Possession and Handover. |
